Lake Chelan Kokanee is better than ever!

Lake Chelan Kokanee fishing is off too the best start we have had in years! The fish are very plentiful with easy limits being the rule as well as the size of the fish is the largest we have seen in years. With all this coming together it is producing the best fishing we had on lovely Lake Chelan in years. With the water warming up and the fish starting too shallow up to eat daphnia or plankton this starts my favorite time of year to fish on Lake Chelan. We will be using less down riggers and more lead rods as the fish shallow up. This time of year the fish are fat and aggressive, much like my ex wife haha. The fish are mostly concentrated in the lower basin allowing for easy access and quick short runs in our 26’ Willies Nemesis boat loaded with top quality gear including Edge rods. we run a large boat allowing plenty of room for 6 anglers, with fishing being this good its a prefect fishery for kids and less experienced fisher people.

We wil be using our basic scented and dyed corn tipped lures as always. Using Slammin Sams corn cure in orange and pink as well as Slammin Sams Antipro scents in XXX and Tuna Garlic seams to work very well this time of year. The bite starts early, when the sun come up and we plan on being limited in time for a late breakfast. And with all our trips we clean and fillet the fish so you leave with a big bag of bright red, delicious fillets.
